What if Google Assistants Used More than Voice to Communicate?

Conventional smart speakers work with voice and allow a conversation with the user. However, Those products have limitations since they are only using voice to communicate and exchange information.

Our idea of 'visible artificial intelligence' takes a step further into shaping our relationship with products that surrounds us. It uses Google's artificial intelligence, speech recognition and space recognition technology.

Google Visual Assistant is a new 'AI projector' concept that combines sound and visual information to create new possibilities.

Google visual assistant has a pair of depth sensing cameras that sense and recognize the space to project perfect aligned images for the user. This feature, which has been used in AR, projection mapping fields, allows the user to enjoy more natural and optimized images, without having to adjust the device.

How is this any different than a Amazon Show or a Google Home Hub? Google already uses more than voice to communicate.

If you have the capability to projection map, why aren't you using it. Point the projector at your counter and it shows you how much of each ingredient to use. Point it at your closet and it suggest color combinations. Point it at your car and it tells you how to replace your tire and helps you order the tools you're missing. The list goes on. Why was this capability not utilized? It is as close to a virtual hand as you can get.

I would have also loved to see different ways it could listen. Proximity, depth of field, motion, sensors etc. This could make the item more "alive".

Additionally, the packaging is very pretty but I'm worried about the off center CG and the narrow stands capability to handle it.
