The "IGUANEYE Jungle" grabs onto your feet and lets you move freely on any type of surface. A minimal piece of technical rubber only wraps around your big toe and your heel. By doing so, it secures a thick and soft ergonomic sole that attaches to the rubber piece like a 3D puzzle.
Olivier Taco (designer, founder of iGUANEYE)
"IGUANEYE Jungle" sandals are inspired by the Amazonian tribes who used to dip their feet in the liquid rubber from trees, creating a protective film that allowed them to walk freely. IGUANEYE is a small company based in Oporto, Portugal, dedicated to the cause of ultimate comfort without ever compromising on great design. The result? A comfortable and stylish sandal that leverages the latest technologies to recreate the feeling of walking barefoot.
Our new product, "IGUANEYE Jungle", is 3D printed and assembles like a 3D puzzle. They'll make you feel like walking barefoot everywhere with thier combination of creativity and comfort.
We have produced our 3D model in Rhinoceros 3D. Then we have printed several versions of our design on the last generation of the 3DSystem SLS printer. We have selected two materials for the prints: Duraform Flex and Duraform TPU. These flexible materials allow us to have a prototype that mimics the final product with more accuracy.
The IGUANEYE Jungle model is now available for pre-order on Indiegogo. Check out our video here.
