This multifunctional solution works completely without fittings (eg hinges, flap holders, snaps, etc.).
By reinterpreting a traditional wooden connection, twofold becomes a hinge itself.

Great idea that can be adapted to many situations and has potential for a number of variations depending on functionality required. One that comes to mind would be an integrated book stand for kitchen recipe books.
