SSME Necho 5.1 is a surround sound system that is worn around the neck.The idea for the Necho came to me when I absolutely had to have a surround sound system in my computer room. I realized I would have had to undergo a massive project just to add speakers to the room. There had to be an easier way to achieve the sound quality I was looking for.

I am currently trying to build product awareness so that I can have a successful Kickstarter campaign. You can think of the Necho 5.1 as somewhere between a surround sound home theater system and a pair of gaming headphones.

The SSME Necho 5.1 is a Patent pending five channel portable speaker product that is flexible and goes around your neck. From listening to music on a bike ride to true surround sound PC gaming at home, Necho 5.1 can deliver.

I feel the gaming community needs this product because virtual surround sound headsets have disappointing results.

Necho 5.1 is needed for virtual reality applications as well. You cannot truly immerse yourself in a virtual reality world in 2.0 stereo.

New smartphones and tablets feature surround sound support, and there is no portable true surround sound product that can fill this niche.

I believe Smart TV's will eventually feature surround sound cards built in as well, further adding to the importance of the Necho 5.1.

I have been testing a fully functional prototype with video games and music with amazing results. I can easily say its very enjoyable and comparable to conventional surround sound systems due to the proximity of the speakers to your ears.
