"Double Curve"- A table designed and built by RISD Student Industrial Design Major, Benjamin Hunt
A low table that can store seat cushions or tableware or even a laptop. The table can function in the living room, dining room or even a low bedroom desk.
"Double Curve" is an exploration of material balance, simple joinery and is easy to assemble. Casted bronze donuts hold the Low table legs in position through tension. Zero glue or screws are involved for the assembly process.

The table was constructed with a bent lamination process that included an applied veneer. The clear finish or color is reminiscent of mid-century modern design. Casted bronze "donuts" are simple connectors enhancing the look as well as the functionality of the object. Notched dowels become the legs and fitted together with all the elements make up this "double curve" table.
