The Bright SP Tote (2023) is officially Fletcher Eshbaugh's Second product in the AnimaForma line for his studio, now refreshed under the BAVGH moniker. The first product launched was the Codependent Table (2020) which focused on the physical representation of codependency. The Bright SP Tote continues the spirit of physical representations of psychological conditions, this time focusing on Paranoia. The bag itself functions as a representation of paranoia with its form, protecting the user through a series of hidden pockets, compartments, main compartment band, and extended straps, keeping all but the user at a comfortable distance. As an additional touch, the bag includes three hangtags representing Individual, Institutional, and Biological Paranoia; Totems acting as scarecrows for the external world. The name of the tote is intentionally indirect unlike Codependent--a nod to not only the product's paranoia, but also the redirection of energy (positive from the negative) that has become a hallmark of the BAVGH product line. The bag comes in Onyx and Cobalt, available now at BAVGH.com.

The Bright SP Tote explores the innate connection between psychology and commercial design. The function and form are representative of Paranoia, but also finds beauty where there is none. The outcome focuses on the redirection of this paranoia into something helpful, reframing what is a detriment into a positive feature. "Meaning in Matter" is one of the talking points of BAVGH's product line focused on a pursuit of more meaningful products for everyday use.
"The Bright SP Tote is the logical next step for me in continuing the AnimaForma line. I was a Senior Designer for the Men's department at Coach for a number of years, and always shared an unwavering interest in Psychology. After releasing Codependent (Table), I wanted to do something more attainable, something that would come with you out of your house, that would interact with the world." says Fletcher Eshbaugh, Owner of BAVGH and Chief Designer at the company. "Another step toward the light is the idea of redirecting energy. I pushed Codependent into the public square to wash away the stigma of Psychology and the taboos around discussing mental illness. With the Bright SP Tote I want people to take back their lives, to realize that for most of us without major mental illness, we can choose to become better in small ways every single day."
