Color-changing Tubing Bag
This is a bag weaved with tubing that can change color and pattern everyday. So you can have one bag with infinite patterns & colors! Now you can change your bag to whatever you like everyday.

I was really inspired by all kinds of bright colorful weaving patterns and I was wondering if I could have all the patterns without buying every one of them. So instead of weaving permanent patterns, I came up with the idea of using one single tubing to weave a whole bag(yes, including the handles) and then injecting colored water into the tubing to form a certain pattern. So basically I first weaved the shape of a bag, and the color and pattern are then defined by the liquid inside the tubing.
For the weaving part, I used 1/4' OD, 1/8' ID soft tubing as my material to weave because it's both flexible and has a very small bending radius so that it's not only easier to weave but also allows water flow through.
Next, I used a microcontroller (Arduino) to control water pumps to pump different water colors into the tubing and control an air pump to separate different colors. For example, water pump1 injecting 1s pink water, then air pump inject 0.3s air, then water pump 2 inject 1s green water. (here is a demo of how it works: https://vimeo.com/639313957)
With the correct amount of liquid and air, I was able to create different colored dots and stripes and therefore forming many colorful patterns.
