Waveform is a series of beautiful, unique, holographic silkscreen-printed artwork visualising soundwaves generated by British electronic music, raising funds for Help Musicians — a charity providing support to music industry workers in crisis.
Alex Szabo-Haslam - designer and artist
Waveform is a series of 40 soundwave artworks by designer Alex Szabo-Haslam, which visualise dance and electronic music albums by artists such as Aphex Twin, Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, and The Prodigy in an unusual way.
Beginning with the soundwave generated by a song or piece of music, these are meticulously redrawn as a series of bars, then orbited to create beautiful, elegant, abstract shapes — reassembled to form entire albums.
Supporters of the project can choose from 40 prints of classic British electronic music albums. Each limited edition artwork is silkscreen-printed with black gloss onto a range of highly reflective metallic and distinct holographic papers — with shimmering laser, rainbow, and pearlescent effects — before being signed, numbered, and stamped with a custom embossing.
The project is being run in support of Help Musicians, a charity offering health & welfare services, creative development funding, and a mental health helpline for the entire UK music industry.
Alex has been creating Waveform artwork for over a decade, raising funds for food banks and music charities in the UK.
