Sundberg-Ferar worked with the Ditch Witch team to design a new engine cover for their flagship RT115 trenching tractor. Emerging regulatory requirements for exhaust emissions had forced dimensional changes in the engine compartment and wheelbase, which in turn required the redesign of the surrounding body panels. While developing the new components, SF considered sight lines to attachments, venting solutions on all sides of the engine, and styling to emphasize the power, durability, and performance of the Ditch Witch brand. Sundberg-Ferar ultimately developed a new high-performance front end that was true to the Ditch Witch visual brand language, and set a new benchmark for the styling of related products in the future.
