NY Design Week 2008 Preview: Rosella Folding Umbrella at designboom

For the artifact easiest to riff on, the umbrella's right up there with the chair, lamp, and fruitbowl. Nothing Design Group's Rosella is a sweet 'n' sly one-liner, and though we hope New York Design Week will be a lot drier than Milan, it wouldn't hurt to pack one of these in your backpack while you're here. Did we say backpack? We meant clutched in the crook of your elbow while you sip a nice latte. Ya.

This could've been a hot item - last week at the Kentucky Derby a/k/a the Run for the Roses.
But not: they won't allow you to bring umbrellas into Churchill Downs.
