"I call my aesthetic '1980s Children's Ferrari.'"
"Because it's placed against the wall, it limits legroom so that the only way you can sit at it is with the lower corner poking you in the stomach. Then I added an additional intrusive corner just above that, to remove any semblance of usable space."
"The goal is to see if you can have sex on this thing so vigorously that it flips all the way over."

"I wanted to design something that uses electricity and LEDs, but doesn't provide any functional illumination."

I spent 7 years designing lights. I think "LED light with no functional illumination" was on half my briefs.
You should really check out the drainage grates on the left lane of 495 and Jacky Robinson highway of NYC. I those roads almost ever every day and it drives me craaaaaazy, its like they want you to constantly bump up and down going over the grates. Anyway, who ever decided to put them there deserves a good roast.
Is every single element in the first picture cut and pasted into the scene? The scale is insane.
Oh man I'm dying here! Such richly deserved snark. . .
The step stool makes me cringe, ouch! The foamy hot pink geometric shapes are the bomb, and the triangular shelf is just WTF.
That step stool is horrible.
i imagined some design student with minutes to go before the assignment was due, sitting in the library with a stack of books, no ideas, and staring at one little un-bent paper clip; and a moment later, saying to him/herself, "i've got it!!!"
"This is part of my 'Jabba the Hutt's Summer Home' collection." :-)
OK, those grey / fuchsia geometric modular pieces are awesome!
