People interact with their phones or tablets in movie theaters, on the subway, on the toilet, on the sidewalk, while cooking, in bed, et cetera. The shower is the last space left where your phone or tablet cannot go.
So a company has invented this conductive shower curtain liner with pockets on the outside, in different sizes and placed at different heights, allowing you to willfully have those devices intrude on that final frontier.
I was going to put this in the "Hell in a Handbasket" category, for obvious reasons. On the list below, there's not a single one of those things I want interrupting a nice hot shower.
However, as an avid podcast listener, it's tempting. I could increase my intake by listening in the shower. If it's something educational and not mindless entertainment, then that's okay, right?
No. Not for me.

A year ago I'd stand with the "not for me" crowd. I'd even question why would someone want this. Now I find it super useful to take a shower while keeping an eye on the tiny one, and not come out dripping everywhere whenever she makes a suspicious noise.
I would worry about drainage, both for device safety and for mildew. I use my phone in the shower all the time to listen to things, so I get the appeal of this.
Not a great invention from a water conservation point of view...
For the guy in the bathtub from,"Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy".
Can we all just put down our devices for 10 minutes???
The first step in recovering from addiction is admitting it in the first place. This is that admission.
Rather looking at it from the water wastage viewpoint, I find this product disturbing on the psychological level. Showers are one of the few places left where we get real alone time with our thoughts and have no external influences.
To take that away (or in this case, trying to get users to switch over)

While it would provide a means for people to constantly stay online, I do feel it would further propagate the pervasive nature of technology and how it's making us less self aware.
Just my 2 cents.
I've used the standard 3 ring binder clear pocket/sleeves to hold an ipad and protect it from the greasy/dirty metal shop environment. Pretty cool loading up a 3D model for the welders and then watching them use it to figure out how the heck they're supposed to put a bunch of seemingly random laser cut parts together. This was for a really sculptural element.
Hey if your phone is displaying a count down timer, than it might save water. But i can see a doctor or someone who's on-call like a fireman or a emt enjoying not having to step out of the shower to take a call or read a text update. But for most it would be silly .
If this a single purpose beyond watching porn in the shower I sure don't know what it might be.
Is she taking pictures of herself in the shower?
Innovation doesn't always have to be complicated. This is a simple solution that I can see many people adopting if not for the "I might use it" value alone. The "long shower" just became more of nuisance to families everywhere.
