This is the absurd amount of keys I carry on a daily basis. Each time I'm in front of a lock I pull the keys out, then jangle them around until the relevant key appears. I hate this daily mini-time-waster but I've not been able to think up a solution.
So I wonder: Is this it?
I can see it being useful for those times when you need three keys in sequence, but I can't decide if this would feel too brick-like in my pocket. As bulky as my current key system is, in my pocket it relaxes into a limber shape like an octopus.
At press time 238 Kickstarter backers felt the Key Wrangler was a good solution, with $18,000 pledged on a $10,000 goal and 23 days left.
Those of you who carry craploads of keys: What say you? Would the solid brick in your pocket be worth the convenience of having the keys stacked, ordered and correctly oriented? Of course, you could always go the belt loop route...
...but I don't like people to hear me coming.

You gotta embrace the belt loop. I was skeptical, but just try it. Game changer.
Agreed. And if you don't like the sound it makes, the Key Wrangler almost completely eliminates that because of the way the keys are stacked, unless, of course, you are running :)
I'm partial to this design. I like the idea but it's kinda bulky. I currently have the MAS Design K80 carabiner. It's low profile, light, strong and very well designed. I noticed one of Key Wrangler's prototypes was also EDM wire cut as I was skipping through the video with the sound muted (that's how I watch Kickstarter video's apparently). It's interesting but I wish there could be more innovation put to other products that are in serious need of design. I guess projects like this are easy, hence why we see so many of them.
Hi Devin, I cannot agree that the project was easy; they mentioned in the video that they spent two years prototyping, and show dozens of iterations. It might be easy for us to dismiss something like keys as trivial, but they are using design to attempt to solve a problem. Also, if you're looking to read about things that are in more serious need of design, check out the work that Design That Matters is doing: http://www.core77.com/posts/58331/The-Challenges-of-Designing-Things-that-Save-Lives-An-Interview-with-Design-that-Matters-Part-1
I'm a bigger fan of the compact version of these types of things:
Same. I've got a Keysmart, which is similar to the bladekey, but has keys on both ends. They have a short version and a long one, and the long one is necessary for my keys to sit closer in towards the center. I've started carrying my car key fob thing separately. Something like this that somehow incorporated the various shaped huge car keys would be amazing.
