If something's made of bamboo, sunflower seeds, or reclaimed materials, does it automatically get a green ribbon despite its functional capacity? If a design doesn't incorporate green materials or building practices, but is exceptionally usable and intelligent and lasts decades, can it be praised in the same vein?
