This is the most beautiful design for a minimalist watch I've ever seen:
It's designed by ID professor, Simon Williamson, he of the fantastical concept vehicle designs.
It's called the ASIG - nohero/nosky Concentric D., and as far as we can tell it's a concept and not in production.
In some of the renderings, the hands appear to be lined with luminescent strips:
In others, they appear to be tiny LEDs.
The concept looks fantastic in every finish Williamson has conceived of.
If the professor were to find a manufacturer and Kickstart these, I'm guessing they'd go in a hurry.

Real minimalist watch - is watch with only single hand, without any additions, like sub-dials, calendar and etc. Best example: 12 hour and 24 hour single hand watches made by Svalbard - http://www.svalbard.watch
A nice concept, but on first viewing it looks like it is powered by magic?
that's the problem with designers. deep down inside they actually hate human beings. once given the chance, i'm sure you'll all marry robots. love your hair. love it.
i second the tattoo comment.
Brazilian wax those wrists, knuckle-draggers... :P
If the time can be set by directly pushing the hands, why on earth does it have a crown?
PS - the renders do look lovely, though!
It's hairy arm past two. Ugg.
It's a gorgeous watch, that's for sure! But the 800 lb. gorilla poses the question: what does it look like when it's worn? Watch ends up having skin for a face. Hence the lack of photos worn on the wrist.

I'd get a tattoo of a clock face on my wrist, thus completely negating the effect.
