I wonder if a thin bead of white silicone at the seams would have given perfectly light-tight seams without being visible when lit?
I wasted my time on a box lamp, bummer. A designer, Jimmy is not.
Eric, it seems that you wasted even more of your time writing that comment.
Thank you Alex!
Jimmy has a degree in design from SVA, where he is currently employed as an instructor in design. By your proclamation, what makes a person a designer is apparently subjective. That being the case, having reviewed your body of work versus Jimmy's, I'd say he's more of an effective designer than you are, and if I needed anything designed from a toothpick to a skyscraper, I'd hire Jimmy before I'd hire you. That's my subjective opinion.
Really cool lamp. Try lowering your rpm on the plastic if your chips are welding or increasing your feed.
