It's been nearly two weeks since I've posted anything Star-Wars-related. Which I realize because one of you sent me this:

While it's funny on the surface, I have a hard time reconciling that this is actual riot footage shot in the Ukraine last year; those are real people with real problems getting hit with real sticks, humorous sound effects aside.

So if you've got After Effects and a thing for Jedi, I much more appreciate productions like the following, by VFX filmmaker Michael Tivikoff. People around the world were creating a lot of Photoshopped images or GIFs when that whole lightsaber-crossguard debate emerged last year, but Tivikoff went the extra mile this year to produce a high-quality short:

No rioters were harmed during the making of this (latter) video.
