Naturalnano has developed cellphone-blocking paint. The company creates halloysite nanotubes coated or loaded with copper which may be used in paint applied to walls to passively block specific radio frequency ranges. Two-way radio-frequency transmissions from cell phones, WiFi, and other electronic devices may be blocked. Building managers may selectively override the blocking to permit communication, such as 911 calls, within a room or building. [via Naturalnano.]
