We don't think of the Core77 Design Awards as just another systematic review of design effort. You and your fellow designers hold the responsibility of leading by example, for it is your hard work that makes design progress possible. By opening the call for entries each year, we seek to unearth the ideas and methods that will change the way products are made, styles are founded and speculations are granted passage into reality. The visibility our program offers is more important that just bragging rights (even though that's a fun perk!) It's about looking into the future of design.

Speaking of the future, here are the important dates to remember if you want to make sure your hard work is included in the Design Awards this year:

• Monday, February 9th: Submissions Open
• Tuesday, March 3rd, 9pm Eastern: Early Bird Deadline
• Tuesday, March 24th, 9pm Eastern: Regular Deadline
• Tuesday, March 31st, 9pm Eastern: Extended Deadline, Submissions Close
