Longtime Core77 readers know I've been a fan of Art Lebedev Studio for ages. Recently I got a kick out of their Attraktsionus ferris wheel/ski lift combination, their Stubus tree ring watch where cracks in the heartwood and exterior rings serves as the hands, and their older Skrepkus paper clip.
I keep forgetting that ALS isn't some small studio, in spite of their quirks; they're a relatively huge 200-person-plus operation, and that was driven home by seeing this video of them moving the Moscow HQ into a new, massive workspace last month. The photo up top is of just one of the rooms—look at how sprawling it actually is:
If their NYC office was this big, I'd be headed over there with a camera crew right now.
