Experimentation in footwear design: Reebok's forthcoming ATV 19+ kicks are meant to be an off-road vehicle compared to the highway-driving passenger vehicle of a regular pair of sneakers. An array of 19 knobby protrusions takes the place of a singular surface, theoretically allowing the wearer to tread on tricky surfaces.
Here's a vid of the design thinking that went into these:
The kicks will be released this Friday.

Not sure why the shoe tread is so easy on my feet. Maybe because the tread doesn't roll the blood out of the foot as the pressure moves along the foot while walking. All I know is it works wonderful for me. Oh just bought 2 more pair online. Thanks so much engineers at Reebok.
I love them. Greaat on concrete...and very light...best shoes that I've ever worn....feet feel great after walking on concrete for 12hours. Where can I buy 2 more pair quick?
I think that they look ridiculous, but still kinda cool in a bombastic way. Also, shoes are often ridiculous and gimmicky, so whatever.
These shoes belong on Squidward, not on human feet.
So on the one hand, good for Reebok that they have the balls to try something new. On the other hand, they really need to validate this concept if they want me to take them seriously.
