That quote by James Lynch, founder of the UK-based Fforest Camp getaway, is the only substantial block of text on a Tumblr called Beaver Brook. Info on the page is light, but it appears to be run by a collective of artist friends, documenting their adventures as they erect a bunch of cabin-studios in wooded Sullivan County (upstate New York).
What's most impressive is that this crew appears to be doing, or at least overseeing, it all: Felling the trees, trucking the lumber to the mill, clearing the land, pouring the concrete for the foundations, and coming together to raise the walls, Amish-style.
They've also harvested wood from a derelict cabin and even put in a suspension bridge to traverse a nearby creek.
I am, to say the least, green with envy.
