It comes as no surprise that water is our most valuable resource—the human body is about 60% water and 71% of the earth's surface is covered by our oceans. At Core77, we've always been an advocate of reusable water bottles over bottled water culture as a daily reminder to lead a more conscious and sustainable lifestyle.
One of our favorite reusable water bottles come from KOR. Not only do we like their BPA-free, ergonomic design, but KOR's advocacy around safe water and water protection is equally notable, if not, more important! Today KOR announced the launch of their "$99 Hydration Vessel" campaign—the sale of their limited edition, KOR ONE Black will support the effort of The Nature Conservancy and Summit Series to create a marine protected area (MPA) around the South Berry Islands in the Bahamas. Only 50 KOR ONE Black units are available worldwide and 100% of the sales will go towards conservation efforts for the MPA. The KOR ONE Black will be available through KOR's website for $99.
Core77 is proud to be teaming up with KOR to giveaway three of the limited edition KOR ONE Black bottles to our conservation-minded readers. Follow @Core77 on twitter and tweet your tips for water conservation with the #KORBlack hashtag and be sure to include @core77 at the end of your tweet. We'll choose our favorite tips to win a KOR ONE Black by Friday, October 21st at Noon Pacific Standard Time.
"Water is the life force that connects us all. Our ultimate goal with the $99 Hydration Vessel campaign is to inspire action and awareness of the sanctity of water," says Eric Barnes, KOR's CEO. "I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Bahamas last year and go 'shark-tagging' with Summit Series and witness the incredible water habitat this region provides for ocean life."
The KOR ONE Black will be packaged with a limited edition pack of KOR Stones and a numbered certificate of authenticity and is a variation of KOR's inaugural product, the KOR ONE Hydration Vessel. One percent of all of the KOR's sales goes to support a water cause through KOR's Thirst for Giving program which is focused on ocean protection, global water crisis, watershed protection and container recycling.
