Black & Decker's Radical-Looking Hand Vac

Black & Decker's Orb-It is a sharp departure from the established hand-vac form factor, jettisoning the Dustbuster cone shape in favor of a globe. The hand and nozzle unfurl from the body like it's some kind of Star Wars droid, and you charge the thing up by placing it in a circular base.

I thought for sure this was a concept rendering put out by a designer trying to make a name for themself, but nope, it's the real deal. However, at press time it was on Black & Decker's UK site but not the American one, so the Orb-It may be Euro-market-only.

Its interesting, but the form looks kind of odd when it opens up...
