Dwell on Design 2011: Wallter Planters
Images and reporting by Carren JaoA new entrant into the container garden craze, the Berkeley-based home accessories line Wallter is designed by CCA alums and couple Max and Linda. Their powder-coated aluminum planters in orange, white and blue are bright accents that would serve as a nice compliment to any home's greenery.
I appreciated its tubular form, cropped at an angle. Max Geisler explained that the form gives the plants a colorful background to play off of.The planters can be suspended, hung on wall hooks or mounted on poles. Every version has a drain integrated in the design, negating the need to tip the planter over on the sink—one less hassle to worry about.
