I'm highly impressed by the number of well-thought-out concepts on Hamburg-based designer Catherine Werdel's site. Her slotted toothbrush not only provides a place for it to rest when not in use, but helps you get that last drop of "Ooo-med:"

A project she did for Brita takes into account that many of us apartment-dwellers have tiny sinks that make it impossible to vertically fill their containers:

Her Woody dresser has a top that can slide to the side, providing an extra bit of temporary shelf space or even a place to sit while taking shoes off:

And her Umschlagbar umbrella neatly wraps into one of its own sections, differently colored so you know which one it is.

The toothbrush would work if you don't mind licking the end of the tube! Alternatively just roll the tube! It's a non-problem.

Some really nice concepts there.

My only question: would you not need to use 2 toothbrushes? 1 to help you get out the last drop of toothpaste and one to actually collect the toothpaste that you have just squeezed out?
