Practical? No. Caught my eye and put a smile on my face? Yes.

NotCot uncovered Joey Zeledon's Coat Check Chair in the Coroflot archives, and it's been rapidly making the blog rounds.

Boston-based Zeledon, who studied "Industrial Design with a Sociology Concentration" at RIT, is a designer for Continuum; the CC Chair, however, appears to be a self-generated project.

What stops the hangers from falling to the bottom of the chair? What keeps them from sliding around when you're sitting? What about the front most hanger breaking (from higher stress)? Also, the 'problem' & 'solution' part is laughable... Clearly you wanted to make a chair with a lot of hangers, not encourage the use of coat hangers. Finally, the 'frame' of the chair is the oldest thing in the book - the de facto modernist, chromed, bent tubing. I think there could be a lot more interesting solution for an imaginary chair.
