The sixth annual DesignPhiladelphia festival is running from October 7th through 17th this year, highlighting both the historical impact design has had on the city and the current scene, from graphic design to architecture. The event is produced in partnership with the University of the Arts.

Driven Design, a celebration of the classic car, an emblem of individualism, personal expression and the symbol of the 20th century: Arch Street between 2nd and 4th, October 9.

Philly Works, a survey of design, craft, fabrication and manufacturing in the Greater Philadelphia region: University of Pennsylvania's Meyerson Hall, opening October 7, runs through October 16.

DuPont Corian's Dialogues on Design series including: a lecture on Design: The Key to Business Success by author Harold Hambrose; a workshop on Who Are You? Who Needs to Know?
