I freelanced in the structural package design department of a conservative consumer products company for years, and learned that if you want to have fun with bottles, you'd better move over to designer fragrances. The three bottles here (spotted on Uncrate, linked below) may or may not be "successful" designs, but they're a damn sight more exciting than vessels made to hold fabric softener and focus-grouped into the ground.Marc Jacobs' Bang is the fragrance-bottle version of those bullethole stickers that a subset of young men like to affix to their car windshields.
John Varvatos' Artisan Black recalls a wicker basket, as if it was assembled by tribesmen in some wilderness where they hunt fragrances.
Cartier's Roadster and Roadster Sport seem like they should be called Jetster and Jetster Sport, but I guess throwing four wheels and a windshield on a fragrance bottle would be...cheesy.
