The cultural phenomenon that is Mad Men will have its fourth season premiere this Sunday.
One thing the show has certainly done designwise is spark a re-interest in the Mid-Century Modern style, at least for the generation that was unfamiliar with it in the first place. But then there are the stalwarts, like Melissa Talley and husband Christopher Naughten, who were already collectors of MCM pieces for years, independent of the AMC network.
Unbeknownst to the couple, their son Patrick (who has a degree in art history and apparently realized his parents live in a design goldmine) took photos of their house while they were away on vacation, and submitted them to the Washington Post's "Mad Men Look" contest. Talley and Naughten's home certainly had the goods--they won first prize.
