From Rafael Morgan comes a very simple concept for a clock: Little Time comes with number printed so small they're difficult to read, except when the hour or minute hand, which are tipped with small magnifying lenses, pass over them.

I don't think you need worry about the usability, you still can tell the time by where the hands are located - or is that too difficult in the digital age?
With two separate number rings and a discrete (non-continuous) clock movement, it's vastly more useful.
