  I went there, wrote down what I saw, and drew it. There is nothing in here that I didn't see happening. Certainly I'm selecting what to represent and how to categorize it. But this is an event with 80% male attendance that features women in miniskirts draped over muscle cars. I'm surprised that the sexism there is apparently mine.
  
  As for not funny---I agree completely. It's bunk.

  Rose, I can tell that you're pretty concerned about being sure that no one is offended ever and that humor has no place at all in this world, especially if it offends your sensitive and delicate views. So, I recommend that you remove your comment since it offended me. I'm sure that you will do so seeing as, from your post, you feel that no one should ever do anything if it offends one person.

  Well speaking as a lady in ID who does make it to the Detroit show, I'm completely not offended by the comic and I think its hilarious! No ones trying to be sexist here (and definitely not intentionally) so relax.

  how is this sexist? the article isn't about designers going to the auto show, its a general sampling of the public at the shows. which is for the most part, spot on. also, most of it is about the models, who if you ask a question about the car, know nothing. hilarious.

  This weak satire is incredibly insulting to women in design, especially women in transportation, who have struggled for decades to get the same respect as their male counterparts. I can't believe I'm seeing this kind of sexism promoted by Core77. Bad form!

  Awesome post! I love how a total lack of original content can be supplemented with a few sexist cartoons. Thank god there are no women in the Industrial Design community to get offended by this. I hope Core 77 continues to hold their writers to the high standards set by this article.
