NYIGF 2010 Faves: Flavour Design's dishware and utensils play nicely together

In Asia, the ultimate table-manners faux pas is to take your chopsticks, during a pause in eating, and stick them upright into your bowl while you reach for something else; placed vertically, the sticks resemble funereal incense, and it's the equivalent of placing a small tombstone on the table, facing your host, with a fellow diner's name carved in it.

Flavour Design's line of noodle bowls provide not only a dedicated space for your 'sticks, but are also designed to fit neatly in one hand, so you can get the bowl closer to your piehole--and avoid a second faux pas: Spattering noodle broth all over your clean shirt.

A very old idea, redone in a way that makes it look like my child made it.
