We've probably all seen one too many spacecraft concept models (wait, is that possible?), but here's another great one to add to the pile.
Paul Segers of Nieuw Brabants Front has taken the liberty of designing himself headquarters in space, with living quarters and a studio space. From Segers: The SHQ-08 is a model for my future 'Space Headquarters'. It has two main compartiments, one serves as an office space/living and the other as a studiospace. Oxygen is stored in large tanks. The model was designed for an exhibition about spacetravel. In these times when the future of our planet starts to look grim, we have to make sure the arts will survive - one way or the other.
We love the hilarity of this project: ensuring the survival of the arts in outerspace by designing individual studiocrafts (with oxygen tanks that are, for some reason, explicitly addressed). For more spacecraft-like work from these guys, check out our previous blogpost on the Bruggenhoofd Chabot.
We wonder which space is for living and which for working; if it were us, our desks would most certainly be by the windows—what a view that would be.
