We're digging the new Wing faucet design from Israeli manufacturer Hamat. The simple geometry makes you want to reach out and touch it, and the generous, exposed radii means it will be easy to clean, unlike a lot of the sharp-angled stuff we're seeing these days.
On the other end of the taste spectrum is this ridiculous "SmartFaucet" from iHouse, which uses facial recognition technology "and automatically turns on the water to your preferred temperature and flow. In addition the touch screen on the top of the faucet can be used to access e-mails, check the outside temperature, check your calendar, etc."
So let me get this straight--we're supposed to plug this thing into the internet, and sink--sorry, sync--it to our calendars? And have you ever been in a situation like "Man, I can't believe I missed that important e-mail because I had to go and wash my filthy mitts. Never again!"
