Bankston, an Australian architectural hardware company has collaborated with Civilian, a Brooklyn-based design studio, on these unusual doorknobs:
"The collection title, Hemispheres, not only references a central dome motif within the range, but also symbolises the collaboration's global nature—Civilian in the Northern Hemisphere and Bankston in the Southern Hemisphere. This title encapsulates the essence of the partnership, emphasising a shared design ethos transcending geographic bounds."
They're visually interesting for sure, though the non-lever versions will likely not appeal to proponents of universal design.

They look great, but the ergonomics seem suspect - at least they have some lever versions, but the plain ones would be hard to pull a door closed with - one-way knob....
