This striking Dune suspension lamp is by Mayice, a Madrid-based product design and architecture firm.
The housing is a single piece of hand-blown borosilicate glass. Suspended within is a cylinder of wood veneer that serves as the diffuser, and is slit along the bottom. Inside the veneer is a dimmable LED light source.
Although this is in production, no two are exactly alike, the housing being hand-blown. Each lamp is signed by the glass artisan, Eduardo Garuti.

This lamp is technically called the Dune Horizontal. There's also a Dune Vertical variant that doesn't quite do it for me.
The veneers are available in a number of different colors.
The Dune lamps are in production by Spain-based lighting company LZF.
