This TriMax Pro marks the fourth design approach we've seen to multi-screen laptops. It doesn't look like they've got the hinges quite perfected, but here's the idea:
From a physical standpoint, the concept is lot simpler than the Duex Float we looked at last year:
And it's a lot less clunky than the CrowView monitor we also looked at:
Then there was the insane seven-screen Expanscape Aurora 7, which failed last year:
The TriMax Pro has been successfully Kickstarted, despite the fact that there's no company or manufacturer name attached to it; it was literally posted to Kickstarter by some guy. I'm amazed that people will fork over $1,000 for a tech object made by someone with no track record, but those are the times we live in.

I’ve used an old laptop to expand my screen but it’s clunky and since one of the laptops use outdated hardware, the logistics are not smooth enough for high production.
The grandaddy of these machines is the Lenovo ThinkPad W700DS from 2009, with two screens.
