Hoek Home is a Brooklyn-based furniture brand founded by architects Conor Coghlan and Brian Chu. They've developed a novel method of tool-free, snap-fit furniture assembly, using 100% recycled HDPE components.
Assembly is, quite literally, a snap:
That's the company's simply-named The Desk. The top is made from FSC-certified plywood with a high-pressure laminate surface.
The version shown in the photos/video above comes with a monitor riser and an undershelf...
...and runs $400. There's also a $300 version without the riser and undershelf.
I found this bit interesting: The desk is so quick to assemble/disassemble--the company reckons 1 minute--that should you need the space for say, entertaining, you can hang it on the wall; the hanging cleat is included. (You'll need to find a place to tuck the riser and undershelf, though.)
