This Willow Power Supply, by furniture brand OFS, is a softer take on the power strip. In a domestic or hospitality setting, I'd much rather look at and occasionally interact with this than a chunk of plastic.
Available in Beech or Walnut, it features a braided cord, a standard outlet, USB-A and USB-C.
It's also available in black-stained Beech, but I think that totally ruins the effect.
And I will say, the back doesn't look great; it just seems unconsidered, unfinished.
Lastly, the price might give you pause: These run $250 a pop.

I prefer not to look at any of these ancillary components or their cables. I prefer the Lon:HUB approach featured last week. There’s enough “stuff” on my desk & spaghetti around my feet.
Agreed. This is hardly an upgrade from a $9 power strip from Target (especially the black one). It's actually quite bulky and has very limited use so I'm not sure it's that great of a product for over $100.
I agree that I'd rather not see it than have it have a veneer of whatever. *However* its visibility could be an advantage in AirBnB-style accommodation or in a guest room, where a guest won't be as familiar as their host is with where sockets are located.
very nice!
