The winning Professional entry is Yardsale, a magnetic modular ski pole, by Stellar Design, and the winning Student entry is aware, a proximity sensor for safer running, by Chuman(Rachel) Zhang, Nils Achenbach, Yuan Tian, Erik Ivarson at Umeå Institute of Design.
For 2024 we were honored to have Rebeccah Pailes-Friedman, Founder & Principal at Interwoven Design Group as our Jury Captain for the Sports & Outdoors category. Rounding out the jury were Evan Huggins, Industrial Design Manager at SRAM, Charlotte Longeais, Footwear Designer at Nike, Nichole Rouillac, Founder + Creative Director at Level Design and Jayson Simeon, VP, YETI Design at YETI.
The 2024 Core77 Design Awards Sports & Outdoors category honors consumer products or services created to encourage play, movement, or learning. Examples include toys, games, athletic equipment, athletic wear and accessories, outdoor gear and equipment, etc.
