The winning Professional entry is Aurora, a Microfluidic Modulation Spectroscopy (MMS) system designed by Loft Design, and the winning Student entry is PullTag, a patient labeling tool for EMS workers designed by Zoë Shay-Tannas of The Ohio State University.
The Jury Captain for this year's Core77 Design Awards Commercial Equipment category was Afshin Mehan, Founder & Chief Creative Officer at Card79. Joining Mehan on the team was Kendra Byrne, Group Product Manager at Google DeepMind, Rhys Newman, Global Head of Design & User Experience at ABB E-Mobility and Anthony Prats, Product Lead at Robotics & Automation Stealth Startup.
The 2024 Core77 Design Awards Commercial Equipment category honors operational equipment and systems designed for public, commercial, industrial, medical and scientific use. Examples include: machinery, medical instruments and devices, construction tools, transaction kiosks, weather instruments, etc.
