A startup called TinyPod has released teaser images of their eponymous product:
A tiny iPod? No; it's actually a housing for an Apple Watch, that provides the original iPod's click-wheel functionality by manipulating the watch's digital crown.
What is the point of this? The company's tagline is "your phone away from phone;" perhaps the goal is to reduce phone dependency? There isn't much you can do on the tiny screen. But that begs the question, why not just stick with the watch, why provide reduced screen real estate while improving the physical interface?
The product makes no sense to me--which is why I'm guessing it will sell like hotcakes. It's supposed to roll out in June, along with more details.
