SpaceX's Crazy High-Speed Astronaut Escape Chute
If something goes wrong on a launchpad, you want to get people away from the danger as quickly as possible. SpaceX is testing out these new emergency escape chutes, meant to get you away from the rocket and on the ground as quickly as possible:
Assuming multiple evacuees, I imagine once you reach the bottom, you've gotta scramble to not get nailed by the next person.

Safety starts with proper planning, and that would include not getting into a Space X firecracker I mean "rocket".
This is a descendant of the Apollo Launchpad escape slide system. This SpaceX slide system is very much like an aircraft escape slide system. While it may save your life, common injuries include friction burns & fractured tailbones from improper egress techniques (People not jumping out, but jumping up & landing on the sill in the rush to get out).
