For reasons of access, we haven't seen any work from industrial design studios in Thailand since 2013. But I just came across this quirky Cubb alarm clock by Syrub Studio, an ID consultancy based in Thailand's Chonburi province, and was struck by how different the form sensibility is from that of your average Western ID firm.
The device features only one button, up top.
"This button can be used to toggle between displaying the date, time, and music playing. This is a convenient feature that allows you to quickly access the information you need without having to fumble with multiple buttons. The top button can also be used to dismiss the alarm by long press and Simply press the top button once to snooze the alarm for an additional 10 minutes. You can snooze the alarm up to 3 times before it will turn off automatically. In addition to its top button, CUBB also has a small speaker that can be used to play music, podcasts, audiobooks, and other audio content."
The clock, which I assume is a concept only, was designed specifically by industrial designer Passakorn Kulkliang.

It looks so tactile it's a shame you don't squash the whole thing to turn the alarm off.
