This year Scott Henderson leads both the Core77 Design Awards Lifestyle Accessories category featuring consumer products intended for personal use in daily life, and the Core77 Design Awards Tools category which features consumer products or services designed for individual use to improve efficiency and productivity.
Scott Henderson believes the best designs are also made for the designer. In his words, "If you attempt to design only for the third-party user, your design will lack the positive trapped energy, exuberance, and soul that separates a good product design from an exceptional one that will be remembered for decades, if not longer."

Scott knows something about exceptional designs with staying power. The New York City-based designer, artist, writer, and curator (and founder/Principal of Scott Henderson, Inc.) has risen to the pinnacle of the industrial design profession by creating iconic, best-selling products for companies including OXO, Microsoft, Krups, Intel, Skip Hop, and Alessi. Over fifteen of Scott's products have been best-sellers at the Museum of Modern Art's MoMA Design Store. He believes that the goal of good design is to meet the mind of the user "with unimpeded flow."

In addition to speaking about design to audiences around the globe, Scott has won more than 50 international design awards including a 2023 Red Dot Award. He has served as the United States' Design Ambassador, chaired the International Design Conference, and seen his work included in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian National Design Museum, and the Alessi Museum.
Scott believes that the world needs good design now more than ever. As people's needs, environments, trends, and technology continue evolving, they create a steady demand for impactful design solutions. He also sees opportunities where others might see obstacles. One such example is the rapid growth of AI: "I am excited by AI as a tool and fascinated to see how it will be used by the most creative and strategic problem solvers and innovators in the world – those being our community of designers."
