Pininfarina has designed this eTH (Electric Transformer House), a mobile home that expands on three sides. The vehicle is to be produced by AC Future, a startup that calls themselves "a leading innovator in developing futuristic living solutions."
The magic trick of this vehicle—at least in the renderings—is that once parked, the vehicle's bump-outs deliver "up to 400 square feet of living space."
The increased surface area of the roof offers a lot of room for solar panels, which AC Future claims can generate 25kWh-plus.
The company further claims the vehicle will be "powered by all green energy with complete days off-grid capabilities," and says that this Atmospheric Water Generator on the roof…
…"converts moisture from the air into up to 50L of ambient clean water daily."
These are all pretty crazy claims, so we're eager to see a working prototype, which the company says will be ready by this year. And they've got no shortage of ambition: Following the projected mass production date of 2025, AC Future says they'll then produce a trailer version…
…as well as a standalone house version, both of those things also arriving in 2025. We'll believe it when we see it.
In the meantime, here's the promo vid for the eTH. There is one particularly nifty feature shown in the animation, where the steering wheel tucks out of the way, turning the dashboard into a desk:

My concern is that it is that without being extended, it offers no place to sleep. I.e, it the occupants can only sleep after they have found a suitable pitch.
how does the roof and floor fold away?
Look at the first isometric image in the article - it appears that sone walls are formed from extruded vertical panels that stow away into a box.
