Today we're happy to announce the kickoff for our 14th year celebrating design excellence! The 2024 Core77 Design Awards are officially open for entry.

Each year the Core77 Design Awards celebrates the richness of the design profession and its practitioners. We present 23 distinct categories of entry providing designers a unique opportunity to communicate the intent, rigor and passion behind their efforts. The comprehensive program honors professionals and students in each category, and will remain open for entry until March 28th, 2024.

The edge of tomorrow

2023 saw a continuation and acceleration of trends and technologies that are quickly changing the way designers think and work. New tools have gone from the edge of awareness to mainstream acceptance in record time, integrating and expanding the capabilities of existing platforms and giving birth to entirely new approaches and ways of work. Advances in material science, manufacturing processes, communications and financing continually enable ideas to come to life in surprising ways and in unexpected places.

The Core77 Design Awards have always honored the spirit of inclusion and innovation. Our program recognizes how our world is rapidly changing, and the important role designers play in defining the future and shaping a world we all want to live in.

While it is true that eye-opening advances in technology are quickly appearing in many of the digital products we see and use each day, we also love to highlight flawless execution and painstaking attention to detail that turns an ordinary assignment into a work of art. We are honored each year to receive and review thousands of entries representing untold hours in the studio, the work of designers laboring over every feature, connection and finish that produces award-worthy products, services, experiences and environments.

In addition to the individual design categories mentioned earlier, this year we're excited to offer three additional prize categories. The Autodesk Prize will honor the best project that used Autodesk Fusion360 in their design process, and the KeyShot Visualization Prize will honor outstanding visual content by a project that used KeyShot rendering software. On top of that we'll have our Editor's Choice Prize, honoring one project that our editors felt best encapsulates the spirit of the program.

Winners will be announced in June, and will receive the treasured Core77 Design Awards trophy as well as publication and promotion across the Core77 network, our social channels and through the combined efforts of our media partners and sponsors.
