Fancy Retractable Auditorium Seating from Finland
Hamari's Telescopic Seating
Retractable wooden bleachers like these are a common sight in U.S. school gymnasiums.
I had no idea there was a more deluxe version. Hamari, an "auditorium furniture solutions" company based in Porvoo, Finland, makes these Telescopic Seats that are kitted out with upholstered folding chairs:
The company also offers a Primo Telescopic version that can equip the chairs with armrests and writing tablets, as well as gas springs to make deploying the system easier. Sadly, they don't provide any images of these features.

Proud to have worked as a design-engineer for Hamari. Fun stuff 👍
I recently spent time in a rural French town where, at their Sale des Fêtes, I attended a concert (seats deployed) and a community dance (seats stowed away). What was pleasing about the seating in the stowed position is that it provided lots of convenient shelves for people to stash their coats and beer glasses!
