Invented by architectural metal fabricator Kevin Craford, the Humbra Firefly is a hitch-mounted vehicle awning that deploys in seconds. It consists of a hitch that plugs into your vehicle's 2-inch receiver, and a large umbrella connected to a shaft that plugs into the hitch. The canopy can be rotated 360, and the edges can be attached to the vehicle via suction cups to combat winds up to 25 mph.
Made of steel (for the hitch), aluminum (for the canopy frame) and acrylic fabric, the Firefly folds down to 10" x 16" to 5'1".
The Firefly has been successfully Kickstarted, with $60K-plus on a $10,000 goal, with two days left to pledge at press time. Buy-in starts at $1,200.

Seems like you should be able to sell just the hitch bracket and users could bring their own umbrella. We have one that would probably fit that. (I didn't watch the video so that may have been covered.)
